Car Card Boxes for Model Railroad Operations

Easy to install edge mount car card boxes that won’t damage the face of your layout. As a layout owner, I understand our layouts are continually evolving and changes are inevitable. There is nothing more frustrating than having to patch and paint your layout’s fascia if you need to reorganize or relocate your car card boxes. All of that can be eliminated with our edge mount car card box.

Our car card boxes are designed to mount under the edge of your layout with a single #8 Screw. Mounting tabs on all car card boxes are evenly spaced so you can rearrange the boxes without a lot of effort. Openings have been provided at the bottom of the card boxes so items, such as scenery material, will fall out instead of being trapped in the box. Optional left and right end car card boxes are available and feature a holder for uncoupler picks, pencils, or small tools.

Car Card Boxes are available in two sizes:

• Small for traditional 2″ inch car cards like those sold by Old Line Graphics and Micro Mark.
• Large 2-5/8″ inch size for car cards that fit into clear baseball card sleeves. Clear sleeves available at checkout.

I have included a free spreadsheet for the large size car cards and waybills. With the spreadsheet you can create card cards, waybills, empty car bills, engine cards, and the box labels you see in the photos.
